Easel™ Shelf: Combines Digital Signage, a Kiosk, and a Retail Shelf
	The Easel™ Shelf is the world’s first technology-embedded retail shelving. It integrates electronic devices into shelving, where technology engages shoppers as they stand in front of merchandise. The patent pending product is a load-bearing shelf that incorporates digital signage and the input/output devices commonly found in kiosks. The shelf supports merchandise like a regular shelf, but it also engages shoppers with digital signage that may be interactive. Options include using speakers (for user initiated programming or television networks), a printer (for receipts, coupons, shopping lists) and a magnetic card scanner (for loyalty or credit cards). The shelf features a lockable drawer compartment to tuck away electronic devices (e.g., thin client computer, media player, touch screen, network devices, printer, or a card reader).
